The Friends of the Princess Royal University Hospital (Charity Registration Number 231071) is now closed

At our AGM on 17 June 2025, the Friends resolved to close on 31 December 2025. Despite efforts to recruit new volunteers and trustees, we were unable to secure the capacity needed to continue.

On closure, our remaining funds have been distributed to King’s College Hospital Charity (KCHC, charity no. 1165593) and held in a dedicated “Friends of the PRUH” fund to benefit PRUH patients, families and staff in line with donor wishes. This ensures the fruits of our supporters’ generosity continue to support our hospital.

Future legacies

On 7 October 2025, our trustees resolved that any future legacies referring to “Friends of the PRUH” should be paid to King’s College Hospital Charity for PRUH purposes.

• To donate now, please give to King’s College Hospital Charity and note “Friends of the PRUH fund (PRUH)”.
