Closure Statement

At our recent AGM the Trustees and members decided to close the charity on 31st December 2025. The main reason being that, despite attempts to bring in new people as trustees, we have been unable to recruit younger volunteers who were willing to take on the responsibility of running a charity. As the PRUH is now a significant part of the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the King’s College Hospital Charity  (click on the link to see how they support the trust) has agreed to take over any of our remaining funds on 31st December and hold them in an account specifically to be spent on the PRUH. Our Trustees are pleased that the fruits of our work will continue to be used to support our hospital.

Membership

As The Friends of the PRUH will cease operations on 31st December, we are no longer looking for new members. If you wish to contact us you can do so by emailing us at secretary@friendsofpruh.org.uk

Donations

The Friends are no longer actively seeking donations. However you can continue to support the PRUH and to improve the lives of patients and staff at the hospital by selecting the option “Friends of the PRUH Fund” on the King’s Collecge Hospital Charity website’s donations page. Detailed instructions can be found on this link.

You can also donate by cheque to the “Friends of the PRUH Fund” at King’s College Hospital Charity, by sending a cheque to King’s College Hospital Charity, 245a Coldharbour Lane, London SW9 8RR and writing ‘Friends of the PRUH Fund’ on the back of the cheque.
